Nice to meet you.

I'm Billie, a pre-med student turned product designer. Born in California, raised in Hawaii, and currently based in NYC. With an untraditional background and a broad skillset that includes user research, visual design, and a bit of front-end development (I coded this website 💻), I bring a holistic approach to every project. I love solving problems through design thinking and thrive in collaborative environments.

I discovered the field of UX my junior year of college while interning at a hospital. Seeing first hand how the design of an electronic health record system could heavily impact healthcare providers inspired me to add a minor in Interaction Design. After graduating I gained as much hands-on experience as I could through personal projects, volunteering, working at a start up, and participating in a hackathon before landing my current role.

At EmployBridge, outside of what’s on my resume, I've started a monthly book club for the product org, run remote team bonding activities, presented on accessibility & improved our design ops.

Outside of work, I enjoy crossword puzzles (I do NYT's everyday), reading (currently - Articulating Design Decisions), and being in nature (see photo).
